The Combo Chair III is the latest iteration of Align-Pilates’ popular Wunda Chair, originally designed by Joseph Pilates. This Pilates chair features a cushioned seat, a set of springs, and a foot pedal, offering a versatile workout experience. The pedals allow users to target different muscle groups and perform a variety of exercises that enhance core, upper, and lower body strength, as well as improve balance and flexibility. With adjustable resistance levels provided by its spring system, the chair accommodates users of different skill levels, offering a customizable challenge.
While maintaining a similar appearance to its predecessor, the Combo Chair III introduces several significant enhancements to refine its smoothness and quietness of operation, elevating its overall performance. Notable new features include a redesigned pedal locking mechanism, a revised pedal axle with roller bearings, rubber-coated silent spring hooks, and a chromed spring tree for enhanced durability.
Constructed from maple-veneered marine plywood on a steel frame, the chair ensures excellent structural strength. It incorporates a tried-and-tested four-spring system, with four positions for each spring and two different spring strengths, allowing for a wide range of resistance options. The modern design features cut-out sides, making it easier to change springs even when the chair is placed against a wall. Eyelets are included for attaching resistance bands in light, medium, or strong tensions, expanding the range of arm exercises that can be performed.
The chair also features rattle-free handles that are both removable and easily adjustable through a simple twist-and-pull knob, offering a height range between 115 cm and 145 cm. The Combo Chair III is designed with split pedals that can be effortlessly joined or separated using a newly developed locking slider positioned beneath the pedals. It provides both single and split pedal functionality, ensuring flexibility in movement. The chair is equipped with easy-rolling wheels for convenient transportation and features four of the finest Korean Music Wire springs, which are nickel-coated, including two strong springs and two extra-strong springs. Additionally, large rubber feet have been incorporated to prevent fingers from getting trapped under the pedals.
