I am writing this review on behalf of my wife Ariel. My name is Rodney Hogan. I asked my wife to order the Schwinn 700IC stationary spin bike for me as I was not in Singapore at the time.
I received delivery of the bike on 28 October shortly after 8:00 am from Jason and another man whose name I did not get.
Jason was polite and professional in his presentation. He clearly explained the adjustment points on the bike, all the tools which came with the bike and how to use them. He gave me maintenance tips, advice on user safety and also informed me that the bike display is capable of reading signals from a heart rate monitor. He is indeed a credit to your company.
I am, however, not so impressed with how your company sales rep handled my follow up inquiry regarding the heart rate monitor chest strap.
After Jason had delivered the bike and left my home, I sent a WhatsApp message to GymSportz at 8:51 am asking if I could purchase a rate heart monitor chest strap for the Schwinn 700IC. I was told I could purchase it from your company website (see attached screen grab).
I visited your website and found that the Bowflex was the only heart rate monitor available. I am not familiar with this product so I did some research. I found out that the Bowflex is NOT compatible with the Schwinn 700IC. This means that the information provided by your sales rep was inaccurate.
I sent an email to your company to clear up the confusion. The person replying confirmed that the Bowflex armband is not compatible with the 700IC. (S)he also said that the display reads an uncoded heart rate strap from Polar Electro or an uncoded POLAR compaible model in the 4.5kHz - 5.5kHz range (see attached screen grab). I understand this as I am a Physical Therapist and familiar with the Polar range of HRM. That person went on to say that I would have to purchase directly from Polar Singapore as GymSportz does not carry that item in inventory.
It would have been useful to have received this information from the first sales rep whom I messaged via WhatsApp.
Nevertheless, I am grateful to Jason for his superb service and the GymSportz rep for his/her help in avoiding what could have been a messy situation.
