It shares the same flywheel and Performance Monitor as the Concept2 RowErg and SkiErg, combining the strengths and features that Concept2 has brought to rowing and cross-country skiing. The air resistance flywheel ensures a smooth, quiet ride, while the damper acts as the "gearing," allowing for easy adjustments to the resistance. Both the PM5 and Device Holder come standard.
The flywheel creates a road-like experience. The faster you pedal, the more wind resistance you face, requiring greater effort. Unlike most stationary bikes, the BikeErg has a clutch, so when you stop pedaling, the flywheel continues spinning, just like on a real bike. The BikeErg features an easy-to-adjust saddle height system that allows changes without getting off the bike and ensuring the bike can accommodate riders of all sizes. The handlebars can be moved up, down, forward, and back for a custom fit. Standard bike parts, including saddles, handlebars, and pedals, can be swapped out for a more personalized experience. The BikeErg is easy to move and store, with smooth-gliding wheels for portability in multipurpose workout spaces. The battery-powered PM5 eliminates the need for a cord, making setup and storage hassle-free.
The PM5 Performance Monitor is a reliable training partner that helps in tracking time, distance, pace, calories, and watts. It saves results automatically, allowing comparisons with other Performance Monitors worldwide. You can choose from preset workouts or create your own.
The open-platform monitor offers compatibility with various apps, giving users access to live and on-demand classes, virtual racing, and training programs. Apps like Zwift allow virtual rides, while BKool offers classes, and WodProof lets users video their workouts. ErgData, Concept2's free app for iOS and Android, connects to the PM5. It allows users to train virtually with others on the Real Time Loop, set up and save workouts, access the Concept2 Workout of the Day, and track progress with live data.
